Hello there! Newbie here, Hope you can help me with this problem. So here’s thing
A friend from work met this beautiful woman at a party some months ago, they seemed to get along very well that day, you know, talking and dancing together (great dancer by the way) having some drinks and so on, so he asked for her number and she gave it to him, my friend called her some days later and both agreed to go on a date together. (I believe you know the drill). After their going out together, he will not stop talking about her, kept telling everybody at work how beautiful and great she was. Well, the first thing that draws your attention about her is that she’s not American but Latin American, Colombian actually. She moved to the States about 6 months ago due to her studies. Anyway, they’ve been going out together for a month and a half already, but only as friends, he hasn’t made any move yet, even though he claims he likes her a lot.

Ok, every time I see this movie, and Meg Ryan doesn't get happy right away when spotting Tom Hanks, I expect her to walk up and slap him. Just once I'd like to see it end that way. I'm screamin at the TV, "knock his block off!!!" But no. She says somthing like "I was hoping it was you." But really it's a great movie. I seem to watch it at least once a year. Probably on New Years Eve.

I just read about another 2 dating coaches. Once again, it's all about marketing yourself. Getting good pictures, the right key words in the profile, working on those essential skills like easy eye contact and smiling. Was it "The Fonz" who did "Lip Ups" to get ready for a date? I guess I'm taking a bit of a break from dating, but who knows...thats when it can get interesting, when you aren't looking.
The only site I have a current membership on is Hot or Not. This barely qualifies as a dating site. More of a check out my picture site.
I do get the "Someone from Hot or Not wants to meet you" emails, and that can be interesting to take a peek at. But for the most part it is Russian women, model pics that scream scam, an assortment out of my age range or geographic area. Then I'm left with a couple that seem interesting.
Problem is...you basically only have a picture and a brief intro. You don't know if they smoke, if they are into jesus or whiskey, nascar or the symphony. |
